It's Time :-(

It was a beautiful day on Friday so I took the bike to work and went for a spin after work. After the ride, filled her up and added the fuel stabilizer to start the process to put her up for the winter. Gave her a good washing and waxing today, just need to pull the battery, jack her up and tuck her in the corner of the garage. Looking forward to getting the skis on, but spring can't come soon enough to bring my baby back out! I don't like hot weather, but right now I'm thinking Arizona is looking pretty good :-)
Those of you living in areas where you can ride year round, keep the trip reports coming so the rest of us can live vicariously through your reports. Till the spring, ride safe

Brian

We won't rub anything in Brian but we will post info and pictures of our winter rides. Be careful on the skis.

I filled mine with gas yesterday but no fuel stabilizer as I plan on burning the gas out when I ride some in a few days. This week is going to be in the fifties but it should warm back up. I hate it for you guys that have to park for weeks and even months. That is a real bummer. Us here in the south will keep posting about our rides.

Brian, I also washed the bikes today, no waxing or facials though.

I had filled the tanks with 94 octane and added some fuel conditioner on the day our insurances ran out. Today, I pulled the batteries out and will hook them up to the battery tender.

It was a nine-month season for me this year, already looking forward to 2011.

Cheers,

E.

Rode yesterday and Sat and put about 375 miles on the bike in those two days. Yesterday took awhile to get the chill out as even though the high temp for the day wasn't too bad at 55, most riding seemed to be in the shade. What a difference that makes.

I don't like it in the 40's when riding.

Hey ring-a ding-ding you must have real warm blood. Or is it hot blood?

Just put my '08 down for her 'long winter's nap' as well. Dumped in some Sea Foam, filled her up with gas and hooked up the battery tender. Hoping that there will still be a few days here and there that she can get out of the garage for a bit, but I'd say that for the most part, riding season is pretty much done for a few months.

Winter in Southern Alberta hit with a vengeance today, cold, snow and the wind howled most of the day. Nomads are put away for the winter but the PMS won't be as bad this year because we bought 2 quads a couple of months ago.

Either PMS is "Post Motorcycle Season", or I should buy my wife a quad.

THAT"S why I left Pa. and headed south to Ga.!
Ride all year and only have to worry about snow 1-3 days a year!

PMS - Parked Motorcycle Syndrome. And yes, buy your wife a quad, they are great fun and everyone needs lots of toys.
