CB Plug?
I just picked up my new to me Vaquero.
It has a huge clear windshield (not crazy about), a sirius puck and a plus that hangs out from the left side of the seat (CB perhaps). Where can I check to see what type, if any, communications it might have? Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Welcome to the world of Voyager/Vaquero
Windshield - you have options - Purchase a new one or cut the old one. If you are adventurous to cut the old one. "Cut off the Bottom and use the cut off portions as a template to drill new holes." If you cut off the bottom any sawing marks will be hidden by the windshield mounting strip.
https://www.kawasaki.com/Accessories/Vehicle/VN1700JDFL (Choose Windshield option.) Plug left side of bike - this is more than likely a Kawasaki Communications connections for the OEM headset. Used for Rider / Passenger communications and also the CB if it is equipped. How many antennas does it have? 1 (no CB) 2 (May have CB.) https://www.kawasaki.com/Accessories/Vehicle/VN1700JDFL (Choose Audio option) Sirius Puck - I would assume that it has the Sirius XM option. https://www.kawasaki.com/Accessories...0KEF/K10400047 Try cycling through the input options (AM/ FM / Aux...etc) and see if Siruis/XM is there. (probably will require a subscription) Hope that helps. Mike AKA Red_VGR |

Thanks a lot bro for the links and info.
Only one plug and only the radio antena. I'll more than likely just end up chasing the cable and see what's on the bike. I'll probably just look for a used short factory windshield. |

Easiest way to check if you have CB - The COMM button on the stereo - push it 2x to bring up CB - use the tune button to turn it off/on (if it's there) and change the channel . . . It could have a hidden antenna in the fairing - so this would be the way I would check it . . . If you can turn it off and on and change the channel and adjust squelch - I would say you have a CB on the Bike . . .

As an FYI: You need to have the headset plugged in to see if you are breaking squelch . . . The only CB output on these is through the headset, not the bike speakers . . .
