Weird Electrical Problem

I had an auxiliary light blow out on the bike. I didn't fix it right away and a few weeks later The 20Amp fuse for the for the AUX blew. I replaced the fuse and it blew again. I checked al the wiring and did not see any problems. after turning the auxiliary lights off and replacing the fuse I quit blowing the fuse. I determined the blown light some how managed to ground itself inside the light bulb assembly. After replacing the bulb the problem was solved. Has anyone else experienced this before?
