communication

I apologize if this is a repeat thread but here it is.
With spring only 59 days away I am starting to think of riding again....I am looking for a Ride to Passenger communication system. 2017 Voyager is what I have and wondering who has the stock Kawasaki system, and what is the benefit of that over a Scala or equivalent system. We use to have a Scala rider to rider but my wife decided to give up riding and taking up the rear seat again and that system wouldn't work so I'm in the market again.

Any input and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Noting that the Kawasaki system after buying all the parts is about $50-75 more then the Scala.

Have you checked out the Sena Bluetooth Systems? I don't know what the cost comparison is for the two systems is, but I like it better than the U-Clear system by far. The user interface is much easier and you can hear the head set very easy. It has a lot of feacher's and there are several models to chose from.

Another vote for Sena here... I never saw the point of a system like Kaw's anyway - wired in, and would have to go with the bike if you sold it.

We're still using now quite outdated Sena SMH 10's - second battery in one of them. But for our needs, they're perfect. Newer models have extra features, like radio.

I have a Sena S10 = Single, I gave her a chalk board and a really small piece of Chalk. I'm Happy.
The S10 is old tech but really works well. Since I have 3 helmets, I can clip it on any one when I want. 35.00 for each helmet clip and Mic. works well for me.

Plus 1 on the Sena's. Love them and will replace, if ever needed, with more Sena. They work well, battery lasts, and have had four units in intercom mode. Nice chatter - shut the heck up, pull over, I gotta.... whoa, did you see... :) Maybe silence is golden...

Seriously, the Sena's get my vote.

Had a Sena when first started riding two up, kept getting a lot of noise in head set, it “broke” after just a few uses...

One thing nice about the Sena, it will slave to your smartphone, you can talk with other riders, has a radio function, oh yes, you can hear your directions from your Garmin also....
Just replaced my old Sena for a new one, it has a video camera installed, too....which will help in case of a accident....
Have had my old one for over 3 1/2 years, still works great! Never had a problem....
Mounted my old one on my winter full face convertable helmet, new one on my warm weather 1/2 helmet....
