Figure out what parts went bad and order them on eBay. The tranny parts are in the "motor" case and not separate like that of a harley

I'm just south of you in Boca Raton.

Call me @5612103399 and let's talk about this.

Maybe I can help you get back on the road.

This trans will fit your bike and it looks quite good. The shift forks are still straight.

The slightly lighter color areas on some of the gears is normal.

Way cheaper than a parts bike and someone has done all the work of removing the engine and splitting the cases.

All you'll need is a bunch of gaskets and a set of rings.

And this is a set of gears out of a meanie.

They are different ratios. If you want to take off quicker, change to these.

A waste of $$ if you ask me.

MAS Tequila - I sure wish I was closer to Florida I would gladly pay you to oversee me doing this same procedure. It scares the hell out of me but I don't really have the money to pay a shop to do the whole thing.

QUESTION - now that I've upgraded the intake and exhaust so my 1500 is making more horsepower than stock is this transmission going to fail again, is it just too much torque for the way the gears are designed? One time RACNRAY mentioned undercutting the dogs before installing the new gears.
