Southeast Spring Rally anyone??

I like the idea of the camping/cabins at High Valley or Two Wheels Only because of the meeting place availability, camp fire and I just think it would be cool. Plus I could bring my camper, lol.

Were ever we deside to stay we can always do the Deals Gap, Pigeon Forge, Cherokee or just make it a big loop about 350 miles.

David took Tammy and I on the Dragon and the Skyway on Halloween weekend. Great area.

I think we were thinking about doing Brasstown Bald area and whatever else is in the area.

Towering, you want to be in charge of the ride mapping or make some "strong" suggestions?

I can work on a few trip ideas. First we need to deside were we are going to stay at. I been to Helen once and its a nice place. If you want i can get some price ranges.

Thanks for the offer. I can do it over break once the vote is done. If you can research some rides or consult with Bob that would be great.

Southeast Spring Rally anyone??

When ya'll mention various locations in N GA, IE: Suches, Helen, etc., they're 15-20 miles from my home. Have to warn you though, weather in April can be iffy, can be 70+ or 40+

Regardless, I'll be more than happy to do whatever I can to help put this together. Like Bob, Custer is probably not an option for me, but S/E rally.....I'm in.

Few other points, from Helen, Suches area.....Dragontail is approx 2 hour ride, along with Cherohala Skyway, Route 28 south from Deals Gap......all are good roads. In fact, there ain't many straight roads in this area.

VulcanE and Bob are also close by and I would think might want to get involved.

There are a lot of cabin rentals around here. Some cabins with 3 or more bedrooms. One about 100 yds from me.

A neighbor of mine is GM at Brasstown Resort (google), little pricey but could be another good location.

Let me know what I can do to help.....

Southeast Spring Rally anyone??

It is my understanding that August 6,7,8,9,2009 in Maggie Valley they are having a Vulcan Riders gathering. Does anyone have any information on that?
It would be nice if a couple different Kawasaki rider groups could hook up somewhere like that for a weekend.

Welcome NOTAHD. Yes they have a reunion in Maggie Valley, not sure of the dates though.

Coach
Maybe you can find a place that allows riders to camp with a nearby hotel and everyone's happy. :)

I'll know more of my fate when I visit the neurosurgeon on Wednesday the 24th. ???

Joe

It really doesn't make me no nevermind which we do, just thought those places looked cool and offered something a little different than the normal. If everyone wants motels/hotels, that is cool by me.

Good luck on the Dr. visit. Praying it is something that can be easily dealt with.

Unicoi State Park is just a few miles from Helen. It has campsites, cottages and a lodge with 100 rooms. This could be a good choice for both those who want a nice hotel/motel type room and those who would like to camp.

Bob, that may be a good alternative. It says they have group reservations, so we may be able to get a decent rate for a great looking place and include everyone in the same area.
