Vista Cruise Control

There not as good as some of the much more expensive units such as the Breakaway, but they do work Ok and are much cheaper. Sometimes it slips a bit on the throttle, and has to be adjusted a bit. Overall they are a good deal for the money.

Go read the reviews at that website, that will give you the best idea. I just went there and started with the worst reviews, from there you can make your own decision. There is over 1400 reviews there.

I've had mine on a few weeks now. It works just fine. It's nice to be able to rest the throttle hand at times. I just wish it wasn't so !@#$%^ ugly.

The Vista work fine. The problem comes when you have Kuryakan ISO grips. The Vista wont fit unless you grind out the slip ring. I used a Dremel. They don't tell you that it's made for stock grips.

If you look around you can get one for about $20

I've had one since 1999, moved it from bike to bike since then.

Mine doesnt slip ever, just looks ugly, but gets the job done just fine.

I got my $20 bucks worth out of it :)

I don't suppose it works for a cruise control unless you're in Kansas, but lets you adjust your helmet strap etc without slowing down while you do it.

I have the vista and I like it. I think it works great. I must tell you that I thought long and hard about buying the break away. In hindsight, I am glad I did not spend the extra money on something that, in my opinion, was extremely overpriced. Think of it this way, YOU CAN justify buying Cobra auxiliary lights or other accessories with the money you save.

The vista was easy to install over OEM grips. I've used it several times just to practice using it and checking out the quality. REALISTICALLY, my normal riding roadway preference does not provide me with a lot of opportunity for using the throttle lock or a cruise control. But, it is nice to know I can give my right hand and arm a break while riding (if I need it). Therefore, the vista was an excellent choice for me.

i have had one for a year. Works great-easy release. I am very satisfied with the unit. It was easy to install. Is not the best looking thing i ever saw, but is functional and sure does rest the hand.

I like the vista as well. It does its job well for the price. On the really long rides its nice to be able to rest your hands a little. Reading from others it sounds like it works best on stock grips since you have to slide the ring over the end of the grip. I picked mine up at the local hona dealer for about 32 bucks including tax. Its easy to install by looking at the picture on the back of the box. It should be adjusted so it holds the throttle when engaged but loose enough that you can still move the throttle in either direction even while its engaged. If someone is using it with stock grips and has negative to say about it, I question their mechanical abilities even though it takes very little. Did they put it on at an angle rather than straight? Did they not adjust the screw properly that sets the tension on the grip? probably not. I'm anal and I check those things. I guess some people just slap it on and expect it to work. If you have any attention to detail it should work fine.

Had one on the last 2 bikes. Really like it. It is not hard to install if you have any mechanical ability. Does what I want it to do and is relatively cheap. As I am a cheap bastard this is important.

I just installed mine yesterday and tried it out last night. I like it. Not the best looking but works just fine.

Sounds like Valdez plans on doing some cruising on that camping trip. I recently installed the Vista cruiser and rotated the bar up and out of the way of the kill switch, a little harder to engage but as easy or easier to disengage. I agree with the others on functionality and style.

I don't know what grips I have here, they were on the bike when I bought it.

The grip itself measures about 1 3/8" & the flange next to the switch housing is 1 3/4"

I did read you have to do some sort of trimming to use the Vista cruise control with aftermarket grips.

For those who own the Vista Cruise, can I use it with these grips?
