I'll have you know that Wed/Thur/Fri of this week Sherri and I packed the bike and just rode with NO RESERVATIONS anywhere....and no real plans of where to go or stay...except for the mountains where it was cool................Just got back...sorry we didn't have a chance to call anyone......we hiked to several waterfalls.....just hung out without the kids.......was a fun 3 days....

I'm tryin' to reform myself Coach ;) ;) ;)

Jack's steakhouse in Helen GA had all you could eat snowcrab legs for $22...........................

Helen's an interesting little town...I hate I missed the rally there with all of yall earlier this year.

In 4 days hit the US 64 in waterfall country, the Cherohala Parkway, Foothills Parkway, US219 and the Tail o' the Dragon, Blue Ridge Parkway, and Great Smoky Mtn. Parkway..........Did I mention I love living here

Man, I have to apologize to you......we rode right through Blairsville and I forgot to bring any numbers with me.......Stopped at the Autozone there and picked up some 90weight gear oil just in case :-/ :-/ :-/.................I should be placed on double secret probation :( :(

I am sorry that we did not get the chance to hook up but very happy the you and Sherri had the chance to have such a great trip. maybe next time your in the area. we will be making a trip up the BRP soon (august) so I will give you call or post when we are heading that way and if you have the time maybe can get a cup of coffee some place close to you.

And I agree Tammy...although we get away pretty often with just the two of us since the kids have gotten older and GranMa and Popaw live right next door and can keep an eye on them!!!

A group of us are headed down to Maggie Valley for the "Vulcans in the Valley" August 5-9,2009. We'll be leaving the eastern panhandle of W.Va. Monday morning the 3rd. We'll take the Blue Ridge Parkway all the way down to Maggie Valley. Looking like we'll camp Monday and Tuesday nights on the parkway and roll into MV mid day Wednesday. If anyone is planing on attending that event and want to tag along get back with me.

I am interested in the BRP ride. Give me a date and i can be there. I'll be trailering my bike to Savannah as my wife wants to spend a few days there while i ride. Near the end of the month would be my choice but i'm open to any dates.

Certainly sounds good to me to go on a ride. Just not sure how far away everything would be. All I ever really do is ride the strech near Waynesboro/Staunton, VA

I will be free pretty much all August until Aug 29, with only a few obligations here and there.
