He needs to mount his laptop on his tank. Then when he passes through an area where he can pick up a signal he can update on the fly!

Hey guys and gals. Just got home about 6:00 p.m., unloaded the trusty but wounded Red Rocket, showered and had cookies for dinner, lol.

Had a blast yesterday. Goose road up to Kentucky to meet up with us, actually passed us and had to double back to pick us up. Then we met up with David south of Knoxville, TN. The four of us (Tammy as the designated rider), rode some beautiful back roads from Sweetwater, TN to David's house outside of Cleveland. Only one bad portion of the ride was when we came up on some fresh roadkill skunk...oh my gosh! My helmet stunk for about 3 miles...darned full face!

We got to David's house and his friend Butters came over along with Goose's wife, Debra and David's wife Andrea. David treated us pizza and we all looked at the Custer pictures and swapped stories. It was a great evening...specially cause I didn't have to sleep in the "Pink Room", lol.

I want to publicly thank David and Andrea for being such gracious hosts to Tammy and I. I also want to thank Goose and David for going above and beyond the call and riding out to meet us. It was such a treat to ride with them because I never get the chance (probably because I live 530 miles from them).

The Red Rocket is now going into the "bike hospital" for some work. She developed a slight leak somewhere up in the top radiator hose and lost about a pint and a half of fluid over the return trip. I had her hooked up to a mobile IV unit, but she is a mess from all the lost fluid. Guess I'll be getting out the lift and cleaning her up tomorrow. Ordered a new hose during breakfast so I should get it some time this week or early next.

It would be great if more of you "northerners" could make it down here to experience the treacherous hills and curves of wild and wonderful Florida.

Hey Coach, Glad to see you made it in OK, and thanks again Dave for the Pizza you guys are G R E A T host, Coach, I was talking it over with Deb, we are getting ready to go on a vacation in Sept., is there any nice camping areas down around your area? And can you do any riding then or will the season be too hectic? And what areas do you recommend for the beach, we've visited Destin a few times and really like it, but its a little over rated (I think) and also last year we spent a couple of days in Clearwater, didn't like it that much, although we did have a crappy hotel on the beach that had a night club right next door, that played the same songs every night A L L night, over, and over, and over, well I think you get the picture, probably would have enjoyed it more if we had been some place different. Deb always likes staying somewhere on, or very close to the beach, but hopefully I can persuade her to camp?

I'm glad y'all made it back and had a good time! Goose, I've had about three vacations camping on the beech in my life and they were the best! One time tent two camper. I have a friend that camps in Fla as many times a year, every year he can do it. I'll have to get in touch with him and ask him about it, AGAIN, and let you know if Coach don't first. :)

Anastasia State Park in St. Augustine is a beautiful campground and has a great beach. It is just a couple miles from the historic section of town, a short trip to Daytona area, and there are some nice rides around the area. Naples/Ft. Meyers area is nice also.

Depending on when and where you are going to be, I may be able to get away for a few hours. If you are here over a weekend, I usually can get away for a Saturday or at least the afternoon.

Those northerners need to experience corners with palm frons and sand!

BTW - Nomad #2 has developed a nasty little front end wobble. Tire is NOT cupped - the fairing has about 25# of stereo, gages and speakers now and that may have aggravated things. I am going to tighten the stem bearing nuts and see if that doesn't settle things down some.

Suggestions are welcome.

Jim, go over to the Garage area of the board and post the problem you are having. There are a ton of guys that have great mechanical ability that will be able to give you some good insight into your problem.

Ron & Tammy, Glad to hear your home safe. Natalie had me busy the past few days on my vacation and didn't get to check in sooner.

Let me know if you need any help with replacing hose. Like I said, I'm on vacation and would love to work on something other than the honey do list.
