Stators

On a 2007 nomad 1600 are both stators the same or different. Can I just swap them?

same....but usually its labeled inner or outter. Theres a few mfg'ers that are making them cheaper, but also giving you a warranty with them. And they're making them to fit both.....interchangable.
2/3rds of loosing your alts are dirty/corr. terms that cause you to burn the wires up (resistance), or a short in your regs.....or both.....
With the twin alts on a Nomad, if they malfunction and over current, they can fry your battery, too!

The only difference is the length of the wiring attached.

One last Q. Is there a primary stator that take precedence over the other one? Or the load is equally shared?

They carry different systems.
