Seat Help

I have a 2000 1500 Nomad carb . I put a order in for a Ultimate seat and I got a e mail today saying that their seat will only fit the FI Nomad . What is the difference in the carb seat and FI seats. I have a friend with a 2002 FI Classic and his stock seat fits my bike. My second choice would be a Mustang bu their site says 1500 nomad or Classic FI. I am confused about this seat thing. I thought the seats from 99-04 was the same.

I thought the seats would be the same as well, Id ask Ultimate what the difference is. They may be wrong or confused with the 1600 seat.

I will call the tomorrow. The only thing I could think of is the gas tank for the FI may change the way it fits.

According to the Kawi website, they do have different part numbers, but if your friend with a 2002 FI Classic's seat fits your bike, and you like the way it looks on your bike, then order one for his bike to put on yours? I've had to order things for a 1600 Classic, because the told me it wouldn't fit on a Nomad, but it did.
