Decided to take a road trip...heading out to Wichita, KS to watch a game on Saturday. Taking the Beemer but still gonna make a little 2500 mile weekend ride.

Sounds like fun. There's nothing like the feeling of the beginning of a road trip w tons of miles to go. Have a great time and ride safe. It was a pleasure meeting you and your lady at the SE rally.

Just got back. 2604 miles from Friday till Monday at 2:45. Got a field pass for my son's game and had a great time. We had a chance to have dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday before I left. Didn't run into any rain or significant weather.

Sounds like a great trip. How did the BMW do? I know so many people who just love them. Actually thought about a F700GS - F800GS (and keep the Nomad!). Still can't pull the trigger ($$).
