Passing Through

Blackdogbrian's thread got me to thinking I should let some of the Western Canada folks know I'll be passing through the area so if anyone see's me feel free to eye up my Nomad and chat a bit!

Our current plan has us leaving Winnipeg June 9th god willing as my Mom is going for surgery June 7th. If we get away on time we plan to arrive in Calgary to visit family later in the day on June 10th. Depart Calgary on the morning of June 12th and head for Revelstoke where we will stay until the morning of June 14th when we depart for Surrey and then the Island.

We are planning to be back in Surrey for the weekend of June 17-19th and my Brother sent me a text about planning a Mount Baker ride on the weekend so if anyone wants to join us for that I'm sure the more the merrier.

We ride an 01 Nomad (Red/Silver) with MB plates that will have a Harley Tour Pak on it and if time permits hopefully my Reckless fairing as well.

Chili,
Not to be the bearer of bad news here....but I'm betting the Mt. Baker ride will be tough because there just has to be a TON of snow still up there.... :-/. It will probably be late July by the time the road is really good all the way to the top. Whatever you do that day....count me in. I know Rickyboy wants in too.... ;).

Kris, I'm think'in the snow has to be gone from the roads by now.
I'll try and get up there next weekend to see for sure. I expect some sand/gravel but not snow.

A full recon mission is definitely in order. Be careful of that damn sand. I hate that stuff. Just got home from a morning ride up Chuckanut Drive to Fairhaven and back. Beautiful day.....now for some yardwork.....uhggg.

You should have called. I didn't go to the cabin this weekend as the "honeydo" list was getting a little long here at home. But it was so nice "judygirl" told me to go have fun on the bike.
I think she is glad to see my a$$ end head out, after being home for the last 15 months.
So "hammer" and I went for a scoot up to Cultus Lk. and back. Had to get back in time for "The Game". {2 games to 0 now}
Dave said maybe next time we could ride through the cabin area Mt Baker / Chuckanut Dr..
Call the next time you head this way Kris. Glad y

I'm "On Call" for work this weekend....so I didn't want to plan anything to big this . We just snuck out and ended up in Fairhaven... . Got the yard work done and we're off on another scoot....what a great weekend...finally! Hoping you can ride with us on Sat. July 2!

How far off of your chair did you jump when the Canuckleheads scored 11 seconds into OT....??? That was awesome as it was the only part of the game I caught.... ;) .

Yes.....a typo...that was it....and no offense intended... ;). We have the Everett Silvertips and Seattle has the Thunderbirds.....both minor league teams. I'm much more of a soccer fan myself...Sounders v Whitecaps next weekend! I'll have on some rave green to be sure! I do hope you guys win the Cup....that would be a great thing.

Ricky and Kris, do you guys have a preference to which day (saturday or sunday) we ride? we can pretty much do either and our other plans on the opposite day.

Saturday is the only day I can ride, as Sunday is Fathers Day and we have other plans. I'll keep Saturday open though.

Providing the weather is decent I'm good for Saturday. I'd suggest we meet at my "cabin".
and leave from there. You can find my email address in my profile "Chili". From there I can send you my phone number at "the cabin" and/or we can make further, more definite plans on the time and address of where my place is, via email. Kris already has my number and has been to "the cabin" before. Him and I will stay in touch.

Has anyone heard from Elvis? If nobody has any objections I'll give "hammer" and "E" a" heads up" and see if they'd like to join us.
Let me know.

Haven't heard from Elvis in awhile. Maybe he left the building.... . The more the merrier I would think. I might be able to get some more local members to ride up with me as well. As soon as we have a definite plan I will make some calls....
