Can't find Rotella T, only T4 or T6. Are these safe to use?

As the title states, I can seem to find Rotella T, only T4 or T6. Are these safe to use in my 2008 Nomad? Up to this point, I have been using T 15W-40 but I haven't ridden in almost 2 years due to health and life issues, so I haven't done any oil changes. Is Rotella T no longer available?

My apologies if this was already discussed. I wasn't able to find any relevant info on the forum.

Thanks

Martin

Around here Rural King and Tractor Supply has the Rotella T 15-40 and so does Walmart.
You can use the T6 in 5W40 it's synthetic my friend uses it in his 07 Nomad been using it for years, he started using it at 3000 miles no problem. but if you have very many miles on your bike it may develop oil leaks going to a synthetic oil.

Walmart here doesn't have anymore Rotella T or the old T6. I found an old T6 at Advance Auto $27. You might have to shop around, as no one is sure about the new formula T6.

Look for JASO/MA ratings on the bottle. If those aren't there, don't put it in your bike. A lack of that rating and your clutch will slip.

Walmart was out of T6 so I got T4. Is that one also fine? I've read a post somewhere that T4 is the old T but repackaged.

Hey Martin, nice to see your back on the bike. Walmart and advanced Auto has T6. Been running it on this bike and the Honda.

rotella t4 is the new improved replacement for rotella t. However there are two rotella t4's.

the 10w30 is not jaso ma. do not use 10w30.

the 15w40 is jaso ma/ma2

Don't over think it.

I have seen 100K+ on a 1500 running mainly automotive grade(?) oils.
