Fairings

Would like to put a fairing on my 1700 Nomad, for the Ride to the Wall next spring. Any recommendations?

I'm also doing a fairing set up on my bike. I posted a thread a while back about recommendations and got a lot of feed back. Do a search for fairings and you'll find tons of input.
I've decided to go with the batwing myself. Just started researching stereos.

Searching the forum for past threads can be a bit difficult but you'll find something that will help.

Reckon I need to say a few words, Ralph Fuller here in Little Elm Tx. I had a 06 900 but upgraded to a 14 1700 Nomad. I'am a vet. looking for folks to ride with and tips on this beast I bought.

Not without making/modifying the mounts. I have an 80' FLH type fairing on my 05' Classic and I had to make the mounts.

The Nomads and Classics have different triple trees, and forks. Nomads are wider I believe.

I confirm on the older models, also the 09+ Classic and Nomad have the same front end...the Classic LT and the Nomad have the exact same parts and accessories on it as well. The plain Classic is missing some of the windshield mounting hardware.

We recently put a fairing (which I had on my 09 1700 Classic LT, a fairing which had brackets for the 09+ Nomad) on a buddies 05 1600 Classic. All that we had to get were the OEM Nomad Windshield brackets and then the proper brackets from the fairing manufacturer (Reckless).

Everything else on the Classic fit fine.
