Unlocked cell phone

I'm getting ready to buy an unlocked Asus cell phone.
I can buy it from Amazon, B&H Photo or Asus USA.
Same price at all 3 and free shipping at all 3.

I wonder if there would be any advantage to buying direct from Asus.

Your thoughts please.

Thanks
Bob

I would always buy directly from the manufacturer if the price and shipping were the same. If you have trouble with the phone they are the ones who will have to stand behind it. Any middle men just potentially get in the way unless they offer their own insurance.

The exception to this rule would be if there is a local store that carried it for the same price, if that local store had good return policies and customer service. In that case it might be nice to have a local Joe advocating for you if you had problems.

I checked the return policy on all 3.
Amazon and B&H have a 30 day return policy and the mfr Asus does no;t only return with asus is for repair.

I'll see who has the best black Friday deal.....

Make sure the phone is compatible with the carrier you are going to put it on. Some phones don't play well on Verizon for example.
