My first car was a 1966 VW. I eventually over the years owned a Lexus. Can't I say the Lexus is a better traveling/riding car than my Bug without being biased?

When I first got married I lived in a little apartment. Can't I say the home I now live in is more enjoyable and comfortable without being biased?
Brad the comparison was between Harleys and Nomads not Victorys so you saying the Nomad is like a schwinn must mean your nod goes to the Harley, not what your signature line says. Your not bias, just seriously confused.

I now fear getting older will make me sound like you Norm Did Dave telling me I hit the nail on the head (Harley owner Nomad owner) mean anything that you could logically decipher?

Don't fear growing older and wiser Brad although on some people that just does not work, I am assuming then that your hit on Harley's in you sig line is simply a series of typo errors.

I bash all makes Norm!

If I say my CCT is better at touring than a Harley does that make a Nomad better than a Harley? You didn't infer that right? Didn't I give props to the Gold Wing owners too?

Brad I don't infer anything except it's almost as much fun jerking your chain as jerking Tim's chain. I haven't given any opinion on what bike is better simply because it is somewhat subjective and brand loyalty plays a part. For me the best bike is the one I own at the moment.
As for your VW, don't sell it short. My 67 VW was a big step up compared to the Bridgestone bike I was riding, especially in the winter.

OK, I guess I misunderstood the meaning of biased, I only went to the third grade before I had to quit school to help Ma n Pa on the farm.
But it is only your opinion that riding the Nomad is like riding a Schwinn.
I will admit I have never ridden a CCT or Gold Wing and I did take a Road King on a test ride.
I have had 2 Nomads and they do everything I need them to do. I have ridden to Colorado, toured Canada, been south to many rallies and put 88,000 miles on my first Nomad.
I don't think I would have been able to go half that far on my Schwinn

But after 88K miles on that Schwinn, Norm would have bought if off you Tim!

You should and more. It costs nothing but time and can be an eye opener. You won't know until you know.

I have owned a Nomad and a Voyager and have ridden a Harley.
A Kawasaki is still my favourite.

There is no sense in me riding a Victory. I could never put up with the slam bang transmission, it drives me nuts just listening to Cindy shift her Boardwalk
I'm happy with my 2008 Nomad. As far as "you don't know until you know"
I have a saying of my own, you don't miss what you never had.
