And here I thought those trans Atlantic cables were for telegraph and later telephone communications not to plug into your coal fired power plants.
Without you Brits we would still be eating our meat cold?, so your the blokes who invented fire. I do have one complaint though, sometimes the cooking fire gets to big and melts down my igloo.

There is absolutely no doubt that the British Empire was largest educating factor in the entire world. Having left their mark in every corner of the world. Even to this day you Brits deserve the bragging rights. Britain might still be an empire today if it wasn't for those darn uniforms. Who ever talked them into wearing red coats and white pants into battle.

The British government supplied their soldiers with uniforms that were dyed with madder because it was cheaper. Officers, who supplied their own uniforms, preferred the brighter red of cochineal for their jackets. Red was the symbol of power and prestige, not some cover up for blood.
