--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well the last kid is on his own. Moved out last week and got his own apartment so it looks like theres more out of town trips in the future. My wife isnt taking as good as I am but she will get over it. Going to Port A this weekend for the beggining of what I hope will be one of many trips. Now I got more time to ride the Nomad :)

My daughter is 2 and my son is 7 months. I love my children but I do miss free time. I am jealous. My main riding to and from work. 10 miles a day. :( Not much for scenery. Watch out for the hurricane man!!!!!

This is a good thing. Your wife will be fine. I know it was hard on me too after the first few kids threw me out. You get used to it after awhile :)

Oh man, me and the hubie have been having a blast since kids out on their own and only come to visit. When we became empty nesters I remember somone saying I guess you're sad - I said are you kidding! I love my boys and spent time with them as they were growing, watched them play, played with them, worried over them but they are adults now and are starting families of their own. Once again Ken and I a can take trips when we want to, sleep in or get up early if we want to. Ah....play house whenever we want to ....just lock the doors and let the phone ring. ;)

I HAD one gone but he just moved back, so now I have all 4 boys in the house again. All of them are huge! All we do is go to the grocery store.

My youngest is 21 and still home. He doesn't appear to be in any hurry to leave the nest. It's alright. He can stay as long as he carries his own load and helps his mother keep the house clean.

I hear ya coacha. When my three boys were all at home, my wife would pull up from the grocery store and ask them to help load in groceries. Most of the food was gone before she could get it put away! :-/

I think they feel as though it is there God given duty to eat everything in the house within as short a time as possible. They are like locusts.

It's easy to track them and see where they have been by the trail of dirty dishes and crumbs! Seems the dishes never seem to make it all the way into the dishwasher! :(" title="" border="0"/> 2 boys 19 & 17

That must make you truly happy Sue. No wonder he's too tired to get on here much.

Hell, when my son got married and moved out, he put a house trailer in the yard. So much for the nest being Empty.
