Rear Speakers

I noticed that my 2013 Vaquero's stereo has a fader for front to rear. Is there an option for rear speakers? And if so where would you put them? Anyone done this? Also does anyone have any experience with Power Pucks Speaker Amplifiers?

I suspect that it's there because it is the same radio that is used on the Voyager, which does have a rear speaker option. You could always put speakers in the top of the saddlebags.

Without a tourpak, the saddlebag lids is about the only option you have.

I had the optional rear speaker kit on my used Voyager when I bought it.
I took them off because the speakers were digging into the wifes legs.
I cannot notice any difference in sound with them off.

I sure can on mine. Have the rear speakers and the difference is dramatic.

Here's another option I've seen done a few times.

In answer to the power pucks, I have them on all four speakers, and do notice a big difference in not only power, but also clarity as you can tune them a little better than the stock radio. I am hard of hearing and also have tinnitus, so every little bit helps.

I noticed a big difference in not only volume but sound quality as well when I installed the rear speakers on my Voyager

I know I have a Harley and not a Vaquero or Voyager, but I do have an 80W premium Harman Kardon sound system on my bike with front and rear speakers. My Nomad had a pretty decent sound system with only front speakers. You do notice a big difference with the rear speakers. You are surrounded by sound, rather than having it all in your face.

It must be just me then wearing a full face helmet. I could not hear the rear speakers at all, except in the garage.

I wear a full face helmet when touring because it has my comm headset mounted on it, so when I'm wearing a FF helmet, I am listening to the in-helmet speakers. I wear a half helmet most of the time.

I am not sure that the rear speaker kit on the Voyager will fit with a rear Daylong seat ? The Daylong is much wider than the stocker.

Has anyone got the Voyager rear speakers with the Daylong rear seat ?

rear speakers

I have the rear speakers with the daylong seat and there are no problems. They fit fine together. I have a 2011 Voyager.
