Heres something a little different, this is one way to double your horsepower on a V twin motor. At around $20,000 your sure to be the big dog on your block. I imagine it would at least sound really impressive.

And leaks oil twice as fast ...Actually, I am surprised it did only 164mph. Something with that kind of power should be able to do a lot better. I imagine it adds a lot of weight too. It's an answer to a question no one is asking.

I remember the first time I saw a Boss Hoss and a Triumph Rocket III. The conversation led to, when is bigger, not necessarily better but just too much?
I guess that is why I've always been satisfied with my 1500.

If I could find places to go 130-135 MPH on Long Island, I am sure I can find somewhere to go 164 MPH out west. Just saying. That or I'll take a trip to the Autobahn again. ::)

OCC used one a couple of years ago. They looked really stupid trying to figure out how to get the thing running right. The bike was for Intel, so there was a bunch of electronics on it - so not their element.

Yamaha V-Max has been around since 1984. Smooth and more than enough.

There are roads out west that if the alignment is good on your car, you probably could put the cruise control on and take a nap. :) I remember drive across 15 in the Mojave and going 100 in a car and it was like I wasn't moving at all.

Also to put things in perspective, in 1994 I honeymooned in europe, we rented a car and drove 2000km in 8 days. I remember driving on the autostrada in Italy and being passed by a Lamborghini when i was going 170km/h. That's about 105 mph. Needless to say, he was doing about 150-160 for sure. With all the land we have and the open roads, it surprises me that we should have such a puritanical attitude about speed, especially out west where people tend to be more free thinking.
