Its a machined ring that goes on the throttle tube. Ray designed it some years ago. It takes up slack in the cables and rids the throttle lag at slow speeds that the 1700 is programmed with in the ECU. It was the 1st mod I did when I bought the bike. I rode my Buddy's new Vaquero the other day and could not believe the difference in throttle feel, since I have had my throttle modded nearly a year now.

So all throttle grips have a cam on them, that the throttle cable wraps around. What ray did was change the diameter/slope of that cam so that the throttle response is different. From the factory it is far too slow to open the throttle as you turn it, especially at the low end. I am sure you have noticed that if you don't really crank it at slow speeds the bike will lurch/jerk.

His mod fixes that, so the bike responds to your wrist much better, as you would expect a bike to.

One of the two best mods I have done to my Voyager.

I installed one and it works great. You may need to use a file and tweak it after install to compensate for normal wear on throttle handle. I recommend this mod. Easy and effective. Relatively low cost. Add a Kuryakyn throttle boss and your throttle is all set.

I had it done on mine, inside a Kuryakyn iso-grip throttle. It is like a little machined in cam profile that is mild, but humped to start pulling the pull cable sooner and it works well....no regrets having Ray do this and he is fast! quickest turn around time I have ever experienced. The machining is precise and made to last.

Be sure to sign the "no pictures posted on Vulcan Bagger" clause. As you won't find any on here.....
