Where did you get your Dobeck TFI?

Not exactly, you are also cleaning up the whole intake install by removing the connections to the IACS solenoids. I will go further and remove all the extra hoses and junk and use the reed valve block-off plates Chuckster sent me.

By the way Joe Norris is awesome. I cannot believe how fast I got this stuff.

We can compare settings later.

Hummmm I have removed the solenoids , marbleized and need to see the advantage of these plates you talk about and I've heard mentioned before. I am curious if I could have done things better/different.

If you marbleize then you don't have to block off the REED values, but if you want to remove all the hardware and get rid of the hoses, then the block off plates are put in place of the reed values to clean the engine up a bit and provides extra room, and space around the engine which in turn can aid in cooling. The block off plates that Chuckster sells are designed to but put on in place of the reed valve and get rid of the whole mess from the bike. Nice thing is if you remove them and put the plates on and decide to put it back to factory with all the emissions stuff etc, it's reversible either way!!!

I'm doing mine in a couple of weeks.

One nice thing about the Doebeck TFI is that they offer a veteran's discount. If you're a vet, they will knock off $90.00 from the list price! Nice people and fast service. Mine works great. Very easy to install and tune.

Conan
