Need Fuse Help
OK well now im thinking its electrical to and loosing power somewhere between the battery and spark plugs! The plugs have no fire to them at all! SO I started tracing fuses and got to the FI relay which not only runs the fuel pump but alot of other things and I think it may be bad so im fixing to replace it as soon as the store opens but if thats not it im taking apart the ignition switch and cleaning the points good to see if that works. I cant believe a dead battery lead to all this. We have replaced the battery before and it was fine which makes me think its a fuse somewhere! ITS JUST FINDING THE DAMN THING IN THE MILLIONS OF FUSES ON IT!

Are you SURE that you don't have a wire crossed. The FI ecm will through a fault if you do.
How do I know? It took me two days to figure it out after I put the 1600 in my 03. I did it again two days ago and fried the ecm. Check and double check it please. MT

Your battery is now too weak to start the bike. Charge it up for a few hours and then try it. It should start then.

I want to thank everyone of you guys for all the help that you gave my better half in this matter. She was kind enough and skilled enough to take this on by herself while i was working. with out her i would have had to wait until this weekend to try and figure all this out. I am how ever going to take it and have the dealer check things out and see why it blue that fuse. Theres 85 bucks down the drain but better than what i was thinking it was. Again Much thanks to everyone.

Glad you found the problem and fixed it. Before you look at the complex solutions, look for the simple ones. It's difficult, but you need to have patience. I'm sure it was a great learning experience though and if there is a next time, you'll have a better idea how to troubleshoot it.

well I grew up being taught to fix things...my dad is a mechanic...and im stubborn and hardheaded and when it comes to my truck or his bike being broke it ticks me off. I cant just let it sit there I HAVE to fix it! It tends to get me in trouble sometimes...I was 5 months pregnant and changing the alternator on my truck..that didnt go over well! as for the bike! yea Timber learned years ago not to tell me I couldnt do something! He had a bike that wouldnt run..I yanked the carb off and rebuilt in and had it running all in a short afternoon before he came home! Sorry Im not your typical female! and Yes if I dont have a clue about what im doing I still dig into it and ask lots of questions!!
