Motorcycle Lifting Jack...won't suit my Nomad! Any ideas on how to get it to work?

I bought this last year to lift my Heritage (as my back is missing a disc and a bit of vertebrae!) so I could get cleaning the bottom half of it including the laced wheels which are a real pain to keep clean especially the back one! It worked really well but my problem is that it is not able to lift the Nomad as it would sit on the engine and not the frame as with the Harley!

Any ideas??

Go to the for sale section and look for Idaho's Jack Adapter. I won't lift my Nad without it You can also order through Chuckster's web site.

I have the same jack and just use 4 hockey pucks
to fit between the frame and jack.

Hope one of those pucks don't slip. It would be a shame to drop your nice motorcycle on the garage floor. On the other hand, it's your money and you probably have insurance.

Does insurance cover such a thing?

Comp and collision should cover damn near anything other than something intentional. Todd (?) would be the one to know for sure. If insurance doesn't cover it, I REALLY hope he does some business with Idaho soon. Still not my money, though.

Ive used the pucks befor and they did work pretty good, especially after the bike is strapped to the jack. Still not as good as Buds adapter, its the best tool for the job.

It may cover it, but the deductable and having a claim against you probably isn't worth it. At least not here in Canada.

I don't see many pucks for sale down here in Florida so I just went ahead and got the adapter from Bud.

True, that. I haven't had a claim in 6 or 8 years. Can't see taking any unnecesary chances and screw that up now.

If you buy my snowblower, I'll throw in a couple pucks!
