Bad news always when this stuff happens.

I just know that the guy loved riding though... so he was doing what he loved.

A cager turning left in front of a bike... the deadliest situation and most frequent type of accident. Nearly 44% of all motorcycle accidents occur in that scenario.

(Note my accident clock in my sig-pic.)

Always one with the one-liners Gerry!!

There isn't a clock for that... you just go by the seat of your pants on when it is that time buddy!!

Regarding the Accident Clock:

Think of a pilot that has enemy planes around it. Some are at his 3 o'clock; some may be at his 12 o'clock. The clock does not reference time but rather the direction from which danger comes.

You'll notice that around 11 o'clock the percentage is nearly 44%. That means that most accidents with motorcycles have impact coming from just to the front-left (at the 11 o'clock) area.

The 11 o'clock area mostly represents vehicles turning left in front of a bike.

Hope that helped explain it some; and pay no attention to Gerry. He is just a trouble-maker!

No charges filed yet. It just absolutely frosts my butt that these cagers get away with murder. Did not see the bike is BS. Not paying attention is the ONLY explanation. Negligent Homicide should be minimum, mandatory charge.

It says the accident happened at 10PM.
I would think it was dark and the bike would have a high beam and most likely a set of spots. If you can't see that you are legally blind and should not have a drivers license.

Greg, wouldn't 11 o'clock be front left on your clock?

Son of a Gun - i have looked at the clock for a year now and thought it was about MC accidents by time of day!!
