Tpms tire pressure monitor system import

Been looking for one of these for awhile and have looked at all. This might do the job about $57.00 Canadian comes out of China and takes a month to get.

Has batteries in the caps and the monitor has recharge battery by USB.

Only problem I see will be hard to read in bright daylight but I am putting the unit in my bags so should be covered by the sun a bit to read it.

I put a Steelmate TPMS from Ali Express on my Voyager a year ago. It's great for peace of mind, and I'd had difficulty prior to that failing to check pressure often enough to avoid premature wear & cupping.

You should mount the unit where you can see it Dave. One of the features of the thing is that it'll alert you of any sudden loss of pressure or over-temperature with a flashing and audible alarm.

You might find a pair of Tee couplings as well, to screw onto (metal) straight Schrader valves. I have mine mounted like that, as in the picture, so I can put air in without taking the sender units off. You can have issues with slow leaks around the sender units from having to take them off & put them back on all the time. I've wound a little plumber's tape around the valve stems as well. It helps me trust that I won't lose any air... that valve is "always open" with the sensor cap on it, and that made me a little nervous.

I didn't bother, and haven't noticed any balance issues. I'll probably take the sensor caps off when I send the wheels in for their next tires to prevent damage but will leave the T valve on there. I thought the height of the T valve means the sensors sit closer to the axle anyway, which should reduce any potential centrifuge problems or flexing / cracking valve stems. Those issues are why they recommend steel valve stems rather than rubber.

Thanks Peg the T valve is a great idea and have seen them before on the web. I have found them at this site on the web and ordered them. Wish the Canadian dollar was worth more god it is worth nothing at all lately.

Not on the one I got. I didn't want it there anyway, and the unit is easily removed from it's holder without any loss of function. I just drilled a hole in my fairing for the wire, and attached it with 3M double sided tape. It's never looked like moving, and will just dangle from the wire in the unlikely event it does. The hole needed to be quite a large one to fit the plug on it, but I found a small grommet I could cut & slip in there to make it look OEM.

In the same spot on the other side of the fairing I mounted a cheap 12V backlit thermometer I also found on Ali Express... I can confirm I'm looking for that integrated appearance as mentioned by mbarr10.

It's a hot day down here. That's Celsius and in my shaded ventilated garage, or around 80F.

The mount will work on a voyager as the clamp screws down to a very tiny clamp. I just have a problem mounting it on handlebars as the theft here in Edmonton area is so high. Even if they can not use something they steal it or smash it. Plus with this unit as I said I doubt you would be able to see the figures displayed in the sunlight. I have a Nolan helmet with sound system so would never hear the beep if the tire was going down in pressure anyways. Practically deaf by nature in my ears so the unit will go in the right bag as I always store stuff mostly in that bag and would be looking at it most likely every time I started bike. Here is better video of the clamp for your interest.

As far as balance issues I used the beads in the tire so there never should be a problem and they have worked well.

Hard to tell from that photo but that likely won't work in the rear wheel.
From memory, I think the hole in the front wheel is 12 mm, the rear wheel is 10 mm. May need to drill the rear wheel out to 12 mm.
And it appears the seal for those valves is going to be on the outside of the rim with nothing to prevent them from cracking or blowing out, and attempting to seal against a cast surface. You will notice when you remove the factory metal stem from your rear wheel the seal is on the inside, a machined surface, protected and pressure will push the seal in, not out.

I bought one of those. If you push one of the right side buttons you will find there is 3 different light settings. Not much of a change, but it does improve the light setting, a little. I can read it during the day. I mounted it on my handlebar. I also made a different mounting bracket as I didn't like the bracket they sent, it was to much.

I charged it and have used it for about a week and it still shows a full charge. It is motion activated and powers down real fast.

This unite was $50.00 and am liking it better than the $ 200.00 unite I bought in the past, It has a color screen and gives me a temp reading for the ties. I can also change the batteries in the sensors, which I couldn't do in my last ones and the sensors were $85.00 for 2 and lasted about a year.

I use FoBoBike, their App is on Smartphones, so when I'm using my Sena, I can get Audio alerts....
