Thanks for all your congrats and good wishes on becoming your "Regional Leader"
I have a couple of things to do as the new leader of our western region. One of them is to entertain suggestions for a name for our region of "Northern Nomads". In most of the regions in the US, they have adapted the region they live in, into their name. For example:
the northwest grp is simply "NorthWest"
the south west grp is "South West Nomads"
the North Central grp. is again simply "North Central"
the SouthCentral grp. have just called themselves "Nomads"

you get the picture.

What do we want to tag ourselves with??

NorthWest Nomads, or

NorthWestern Nomads or

Canadian Northwest Nomads or

NorthWestern Canadian Nomads

These are just some suggestions. Please toss out some suggestions,... but my advice is to keep remembering we are at this point Northern Nomads. We just want to distinguish ourselves from the Eastern region really.
Let's give it some thought and add your suggestions to the thread. Lets keep this thread for the sole purpose of finding a name.

Western Canada Nomads ;)

I agree with "Western Canada Nomads". Simple, and to the point with just a touch of testosterone...now I'm going to take a nap.

Western Canada Nomads works for me.
I haven't seen any other suggestions,..... I'll give it another week and then go with the majority. SO speak now or forever shut the hell up. ;)

Instead of being obvious with east/ west I'd go with sunrise/sunset!

Sunrise nomads for the east and the sunset nomads for the west?

Thinking as well: How about Nomad riders of Western Canada, or Western Canadian Nomaders, or Nomad Canucks of the West.

I like the idea of using the wording "Canadian" rather than "Canada".
So "Western Canadian Nomads" or "Western Canadian Nomad Riders"
works just as well for me too.

Oh and Kevin,...nice to see the Canuck logo as your Avitar. I have to ask though, why aren't you on the Calgary "wagon"? Glad to have you aboard though. Could this be the year??

Rick my friend, I was born and raised in Vancouver and have been a Canuck fan since the days when my father used to take me to the games when they were in the WHL. Playing against the likes of the Seattle Totems, Portland Buckaroos, to name a few. Right now I live in the land of the heathens, but my wife and I wear our Canuck jerseys and go proudly to the games when they play the Oilers.

PS. great win against Buffalo tonight!!!!!!
