Cobra FI2000 Powere Pro Tuner

Hi all, anyone heard of or currently uses the Cobra FI2000 PWR Tuner? seems like a winner with CVT, no need for dyno runs, maps etc.

Cobra site is indicating for US motorcycle specs only? Anyone know why it would only be for US specs?

Been using it for just over a year, no issues as yet and the nice thing is that you can change whatever setup you have without having to get it remapped.

I just took mine off , Went with the EJK tuner , control fuel @ idle and cuts down on the popping by 95%.

I never had any popping on my Voyager with the Powrpro installed.
It would appear that changing the mufflers causes the popping.

If you listen closely, with the stock mufflers you can hear the popping, it is just so well muffled that it is almost silent, the more open after market mufflers just make it so you can now hear it.

I have had the cobra for over a year now and love it and noticed a difference right off the start once I hooked it up. I run Cobra exhaust and it has helped allot gotta love the little unit and was so easy to hook up out of the box. You can not go wrong and I agree I did not want to dyno also as hate the extra crap that comes with all the mapping and so on. Yes it still pops a bit but I still love the bike and the unit works perfect enough for this guy could not ask for better.

Hi Smokey.
With a full face helmet and the stock 2010 mufflers I never heard any popping.
I believe they made the stock mufflers quieter in later years, 2012 I think ?

Over a year on my powerpro - no issues . . . but thinking of the EJK . . . just because I'm never happy and always need to do something to the bike . . .

I used to hear it, open face helmet though, it was muted very well. I unmuted it when I went to the FP 2-1 system.

decel popping

I have run the FI2000 for nearly 10K miles. My pair valve hose is plugged. I don't think the popping can be eliminated. I had Cobra slip-ons that bellowed so loud at interstate speed, that I took them off. The popping is still there with stock mufflers and "marbled" hose. I do believe that wrapped pipes and a richer fuel mix lessens rider felt heat considerably. Maybe the big three would ride cooler-but my ears thank me every mile with stock pipes now.

With the EJK I upped the fuel and have 0 popping and the ride is smooth and lots of power.. my fi2000 power pro only worked one day and it died so I didn't get to enjoy it.. it ran awesome for a 15 miles and it started to sputter and skip and pop like crazy on decal and that's after I plugged everything , it may have been faulty. So far the EJK has been great.

I just installed a Power Pro & a K&N filter on my Nomad this weekend. I am also running Vance & Hines slip-ons. I noticed an instant engine smoothness. No lurching or jerking anymore. The bike now has a really smooth throttle response, especially on low speed around town riding, and with more power! The engine does not seem to strain now. There's no HUGE power increase & the bike still ain't gonna win any races but there is a definite improvement. Still some popping on decell but that too seems to be improved. I've only got about 200 mi on the Power Pro so far but I'm really like'n what I see &, so far, worth the $ to me.

The 1700's really benefit from an air intake kit. I had a Powrpro unit on my 1700 and with
just that and no air intake the bike was only marginally better. After installing Chucksters air kit I noticed a big difference. The only downside is increased intake noise.
