Caddman Modification

Just finished the caddman modification on a 2005 1600..I put 9" filters on both sides and completely removed the solenoids.......it does seem to have a little more power....a couple of questions for those of you that have done it......do you hear more engine noise, particularly air sucking and the firing of the combustion chambers or did i miss something.....2nd question is do you need the TFI to take full advantage of the increased air flow. I have one coming but will be a week or so before it gets here....no real exhaust modifications other than debaffling....

thanks for any feedback

Caddman Modification

You will definitely hear more noise, but not the clacking of the solenoids. You will hear the air rushing into the intake. You get used the that sound, I found the solenoid noise a lot more annoying.

You really should have the TFI on the bike. You are adding a lot of air to the system and that will make your fuel mixture lean. If you have stock pipes, they are still restricting things, but you are likely still running even leaner than stock.

Caddman Modification

I did just the right side with a 7 inch K&N filter and the stock dog bowl cover & TFI.More noise from the intake, but I'm getting used to it.Mostly when accelerating. When you level off,you can't hear it as much.
