Thanks Evan! I am already looking forward to the next ride...hopefully with the RDL.

BTW, the Barkhamsted Reservoir is beautiful as is Lake McDonough. I will have to get out there again some day and take a bunch of photos.

It is very pretty out there. Next time we forgo Great Barrington and do the whole Barkhamsted Reservoir tour stopping for some pics. May be head out to Goshen CT or Cornwall Bridge rt. 7S or up north on 8.

Just got home 5 minutes ago. What a great ride. It was 12 hours and 326 miles. The Northwest area of CT has some really nice roads to ride on. I don't feel bad about not finding SoCo for the ice cream. I still got/wore mine.

Thanks guys for another great ride and great company.

That was a perfect photo opportunity and I totally spaced out.

Took another look at the map. Where we pulled off the first time, 7 turned to the rt. and 183 was like right there which was the original way I wanted to go back. Oh well we can try again in the spring when we have more day light.

I think there are better places to visit in the spring. Great Barrington was good for a destination but the northern roads are better up around Adams and North Adams.

Excellent blog Martin.

The area to the left of Jaffrey, NH on the map is a good area to ride. I was up in Swanzey, NH a couple of years ago. The road pavement was still nice and probably stays that way because they are less traveled roads. The towns are small with sociable people.

Thanks Neil!

I added up all the mileage and I am almost at 1600 miles...since the middle of July. Not bad, not bad at all.

Great blog Martin!!! Just one suggestion, I think you should get a few close up pics of yourself

I've owned the bike just about a year now so far 6,500 miles and counting

Thanks Evan and yeah, I am working on it.

Neil and Evan, would you be against me using your first names in my blog?
