I had two short rides today for a total of 14 miles. Beautiful weather to ride in though.

Saw more dead deer than live ones. A very nice contestable who pulled us over - and let us go with only a warning BTW - said a biker hit a deer the evening before. Fortunately he was OK --- not so for the deer.

Saw no hogs though.

Skunks, possums and armadillos too. Just too dangerous to ride there for sure. ;)

Would have loved seeing an armadillo. Not very many here in Indiana.

Made my 10 mile commuteto the plant this morning at O'dark thirty with full intent to take the long way home. One good thing about daylight davings time...

I went to the doctors office on the bike today, it was a nice day for it, if the sun would have been out it would have been perfect.

Today finished up four round trips to work and back home. 90°F plus today. Wow! Dark in the morning and hot in the afternoon.

Funny thing about taking the long way home, when I got to work that was my intent. After being forced into a 16 hour shift instead of 12, the only thing I wanted to do was get home to bed. 20 miles round trip for Friday.

Forgot to mention that I rode yesterday. It was only a short ride of 10 miles are less. Still always feels good though.

We took a trip through the South Texas Hill Country today. Only got in 275 miles; mostly on single lane and rural two lane roads. Very dry and hot here, it was near 95°F here today.

Also, had a little treat:
I'd never seen a purple Nad.
I never believed I'd see one, but I can tell you this my friend I'd rather see than ride one!

Finally

finished wiring the fairing (radio & stuff) and was able to go for a 100 mile ride

the weather was great. Felt great, now I need some new rubber front and back and we will be set for the season...
