2600 mile bike trip

just completed my first big trip on Nomad. trip was around 2700 miles. went from Lebanon, Mo to Midland Ontario canada back through niagara falls, then went east to Letchworth NY statepark (grand canyon of the east), next hit some backroads like hwy 666 etc. had a great trip and best of all never got wet!!

How was the riding in Canada? Cindy and I are going up there in the fall. Many Frence speaking residents or mostly English?
You have a passport or an Enhanced NY State license?

we both have passports, had no problem at the border. They just ask the standard questions, where we going etc. we went to Midland to see some friends, they live on the lake. Everyone i talked to spoke english, some with a slight accent. But being from Mo where we speak hillbilly, i can't say much! only problem i had was one of my credit cards got shut off, they thought it was stolen, i was told next time to let them know i was going on a trip. as far as riding goes our friends told us the real pretty stuff was further north than we was. we did enjoy the lakes, and stayed at niagara falls.

btw, when u get into Toronto i believe it's the 407 toll rd. there is a sign that says if u use this rd u must have license plate visible, well we did. I thought we would pay toll at our exit. well we never paid a toll, and the signs i read said something about they would send me a bill? so i will wait to see if i get a bill from the license plate picture?

Sounds like a great trip and a long time on the bike. Good reminder too that we should let the credit card company know we are traveling so the card isn't canceled. The 407 is the only toll road in Ontario (thanks to a misplaced Conservative government) and we do get toll fees mailed to us who live in Ontario. Now I know some Venture riders whose pictures of their plates get blocked by the trunks so they ride for free.
