Motul 5100 MA2 10W40 and OEM filter. She starts up quietly, runs and shifts smoothly. Don't know what all those numbers and letters mean but...read some where it'll add about 15 HP.

Have a very stupid question, if the engine and transylvania share the same oil do they have a dedicated plug for each? I have a 04 1600 classic and haven't done an oil change yet so I'm slaying before I get elbows deep into it. Don't feel like paying someone 125 dollars to do it for me. Thanks in advance.

One plug for both on the 1500/1600. There's also a sump screen that should be inspected once in a while too. If you drain from there, I believe it drains a little more oil out.

So before I go pulling plugs out, is there 2 plugs to drain and if so can I pull both at the same time or is there more than 2? Haven't been under there so I have no idea, thanks

You only have to remove one plug, but take your pick on which one. If I was inspecting the screen, I'd do just that one, otherwise I'd remove the main one under the crankcase. The screen comes out sideways on the shifter side.

It would be a good idea to get the shop manual. There are PDFs of it floating around in a lot of places.

Just to be clear, this is a 1600, yes? A 2000 or 1700 are different. The 800/900/1500/1600 are as I described.

04 1600 classic, I know this is off topic but do you know if a 05-8nomad fairing will fit the classic.

The Windshield? If you had all the hardware, it should, but there are other choices for windshields and as far as fairings go, there are aftermarket choices their as well.

There is an aftermarket fairing on ebay I seen but it fits an 05-08 nomad, before I buy it I want to make sure it will fit my 04 vulcan classic
