2012 Regional Rally

Here is the official discussion thread for our regional rally. A little KawaNOW Southeastern Region history of past rallies:

2008--Elkins, WV
2009--Helen, GA, National at Custer, SD
2010--Stanton, VA
2011--National at Maggie Valley

If you have an idea for a site and time frame, please post it in this thread. Tampa, FL in July is not on the list of potential sites or time frames

The no motorcycle policy has been in effect for years at Calloway Gardens.

Back in the 70's when vans were real popular they decided to keep all vans out also.
They are a privately owned business and they make the rules to see fit....

There are some places around there that we could visit: Little White House, Andersonville National Historic Site is about 70 miles south east.

Gotta admit, Townsend sounds great to me.
Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Cades Cove, even the Dragon is close by.

Then again, so is the ex's grave!

Here's a thought. There aren't any twisties, but how about Savannah? Lotsa history and interesting places. The 8th Air Force museum is in Pooler. Close access to all kinds of touristy places up and down the coast.

Savannah is a nice place, and I'm for it. I'm still partial to North Georgia and Tennessee.
