First off, Happy New Year to everybody here.

Yes I am another newbie on this board. I was scrounging around the google page and typed in Nomad boards. Guess what, it took me here.. :) I looked around, read a few posts and decided to join if the good people would have me..

I do own A 2004 Nomad. I was fortunate enough to find it in Dec. of 2006 on the dealer showroom still untitled. I was looking for something to give me a different ride than my 2002 Goldwing.

So far I have been very impressed with my Nomad. It definitely is a different ride that I enjoy. Now when the wife rides we take the Wing. It is definitely more comfy for her than the Nomad. When I ride solo 80% of the time I take the Nomad. Last year I rode a combined mileage of 17,000 miles. 7050 of those miles were on the Nomad.

I have only been riding since Sept. of 2000. After having a heart attack and going through one heck of a car wreck I got up one morning and told myself it was time to get a motorcycle.. Always wanted to ride but always put it off.. ??? ???

Since I purchased my first motorcycle I have had two more heart attacks and other setbacks that have led to a freshly installed pacemaker. 12/13/07. One never knows what tomorrow will bring so if at all possible do what you want to today. I did not write that originally but it fits here. ;) ;)

After owning several types and brands of motorcycles for the previous six years the Nomad was the first "cruiser" style bike I have owned, and I must say it FITS.....

I also belong to the VROC and must say they are a great bunch of people also. I have attended a few rallies and get-togethers and enjoyed each one of them.

Enough about me, I just want to say "Howdy" and am looking forward to learning more about the Nomad and maybe meeting some of the people here...

Welcome Ross, I'm another Newbie. I think you will find the people friendly, the advice outstanding, and the humor questionable. (lol) Glad to see another Mid westerner in the Forum. I used to live in Lebanon, Ind. way back in my high school days. Good Luck and safe riding.

Welcome Ross. I too am the proud recipient of "3" Heart Attacks and bought a bike. The Nomad is My second bike. I used to own a 2004 Suzuki Volusia. People say to me all the time "aren't you scared"? I tell them Nope, God already gave the the memo on how I'm leaving. Might as well make it one heck of a ride! Stay strong.
