Hello from a newbie

Hello & Merry Xmas from Northern California. I am a new member of this board & a new owner of a 2003 1500 FI Nomad. This is not my first motorcycle, I have owned a Honda dream 305, a Harley 45 cu in, ( a retired San Francisco police bike), & my last bike was a Hodaka 100 dirt bike. All of the above were pre 1968. I have been out of the saddle a little while, 40 years to be exact. The wife & I are looking forward to making new friends & new adventures with the Kawasaki.

Hello from a newbie

Welcome, I'm somewhat new here also. We were out of saddle for 22 years and I thought that was a long time but 40 years! You can use my training wheels if you need them.

Welcome redeye! Don't feel bad about the 40 year hiatus, I went for 34 years between bikes. I hope you love your Nomad as much as I love mine.

Pull up a chair, get comfortable and grab a cool one from the fridge...I think you will enjoy the folks here.

Hello from a newbie

Hi redeye!! Glad to see you aboard. Welcome back to motorcycles too. I had a 20 year hiatus myself. There seems to be a lot of grey muzzles with bikes now, and I'm one of them. Welcome again redeye. You'll learn a lot here and have some fun too.

Hello from a newbie

Hello Redeye, and a Merry Christmas also. I also went about 20 years between bikes, but I enjoy riding now more than I ever did when I was younger. Back then I was the only one with a bike, none of my pals had bikes so I rode alone most of the time. Now most of my neighbours have bikes, so we get together for some good rides throughout the season. Enjoy your new bike.

Hello from a newbie

THANK YOU for the warm greetings.

In the near future I will be taping into your wealth of information for advise on doing the basic maintanace on a 5 year old bike.

My scoot is a 2003 1500 FI with 7,900 miles. According to the service records, the bike was last serviced in October 2004 at 7,000 miles. So, come this weekend I will be doing an oil change & changing the coolant. For me, that is a weekend worth of work. Thank You again for the welcome. -Rich
