Another Newbie from Texas

Hello everyone. After lurking for the past two months, I decided to get out of my shyness and say something. I am a transplant from way far on the side of the big pond ( the other one) and made Katy Texas my home, English my new language and a 2006 Nomad silver/blue one of my means of transportation.
I have been having several laughs from several of the posts ( my wife and daughter think I am loosing it at times). Anyway I am glad to be among friend and hope to meet some of you in person at some point.

Konan, which pond and how far? English is your new language huh? You seem to have it down for a learner.

Anyway, welcome to the US and the website. Enjoy Texas. There are a few good people down there. LOL

Hey Idaho,
The Atlantic, i am not sure how many kilometers that is, or rather miles. I am from a french speaking country call The Ivory Coast ( La Cote D' Ivoire) on the West coast of Africa. Thanks for thinking that about my english. I am still practicing and have not got the texan Y'all down as yet.

Welcome to the U.S. and to the KawaNOW forum. I am new to the forum too. Your English is very good, better than many who have lived in America for their entire life. I expect that in the Ivory Coast, soccer was the big sport. But here in America, as I'm sure you know by now, the big sport is football and you are very fortunate to be living in the state of Texas, home of America's Team, the Dallas Cowboys.

Welcome aboard Konan. I thought I detected a deep deep deep East Texas accent in your post. I'm a quarter way around the beltway from you in Pasadena. Hope to meet up with you soon and share some road.

WELCOME!!!!

Please let us know if there is anything we can ever help you with.

There are some guys from the Gulf Coast VROC group meeting up in Katy for a ride Saturday.

You probable will not get this in time, but if you do check out the information on the webforum through VROC.org. It will say Texas Gulf Coast VROC.

Take care and I hope to meet you soon!

AAACK! I'm in Katy too...we have to meet up and ride. I'm booked this weekend, but have most of next week off and much time off through December. Great to know I have a fellow 'Nader so close.

Welcome Konan !

Howdy Konan, welcome to the site, to Nomads, and to the great state of Texas. I am just up the road in The Woodlands. A number of Nomad riders here in the Houston area and even more Vulcan riders get together for rides. Look forward to sharing some asphalt with ya...
