Thanks to all of you for the warm welcome----I live in Chandler, Az. and prior to that on the "Iron Range" in NE Minnesota but got tired of shoveling snow, mowing lawn and waiting till May to ride after those unending winters.
I bought my Vaquero in Jan of this year and have about 4300 miles with only minor mods so far. I have had the stock seat re-done and have put V&H slash cut slip ons for more sound and soon there will be a new intake and a new engine minder. I swapped out the black strip on the gas tank along with air cleaner covers and speaker baffles with a 2010 Voyageur so I could have a little more chrome.
I previously owned a 2000 Yamaha RoadStar and a couple of Kawasaki's sportier rides (an 07 ZX14 and an 09 Concours). Performance wise I haven't noticed much difference between my RS which was 100 lbs lighter and this bike but in comparison of all the other features the Vaq is quite a bit more "plush". I am looking forward to the discussions on this forum and thanks once again for the welcome.

Hello and welcome from Pennsylvania. I know what you mean about the heat and riding. I never thought I'd say it was too hot to ride until these last ten days or so..whew!
