Cell phone as an action camera?

Anyone successfully using their smart phone as an action camera? If so, what type of mount are you using?
I'm getting ready to ride a section of the California coastline on highway one with some friends and would like to video some of it. My phone seems like a viable option, as it has a better camera than most of the action cams I've looked at, and I already own the phone. I have s ram mount on my fairing but it vibrates a little too much for decent video. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have that setup, but I am getting a lot of vibration. My ram mount is mounted to my fairing.

I just ordered a handle bar mount. I'll give it a try and see how it works. Thanks.

Sorry, I started this thread way to early in my morning. Thought it was in general information. Not trying to sell anything. And YES, I am an idiot. Oh well, not the first time that's for sure. As near as I can tell I can't do anything to move it either.

I wasn't being offended. I just realized that I pulled a stupid. Don't sweat it man. I don't get offended very easily if at all.

Look at helmet cams. Decided to stay away from the helmet camera. Want to film the view directly in from of the bike.

Besides, I'm not sure my head is any steadier than my fairing mount.

So is that screwed through your helmet or epoxied or something?
While here in Iowa helmets are not required, and I very seldom wear one, I just wonder if that is screwed, wouldn't that make the helmet have another break point to split?

As far as the cam on it goes.. whatever works for you Your a brave man.

I don't know. It's Jared's lid not mine. You need to ask him it's his site you are using. I just got my greasy mitts on his lid, and was teasing him. here he is the younger better looking guy. NH is lid free by law too 18 years and up.

His bike with my bike

Also I believe there IS another mount on the red bikes crash bar. Ask him about that too. I think it's that black band about 1/2 way on the bar.

He was here last year..... in NH out of Ut.
