'03 VN1600a classic speedo stopped working

Reading up on the posts here seems to indicate if the bike is FI then the speedo is electronic - which I suppose mine is. It may be just coincidence but right after I did a rear tire change my speedo quit working. I can't think of anything I did to screw it up by just changing a rear tire! Anyone know something I could check?

You suppose yours is, is, correct....your speedo sensor isn't on your rear tire/wheel.
dude, you need to get yourself a good repair manual, and read up on your bike....
Start by checking all your connections under the chrome cowl, right below your speedo. Do all your lights on your speedo light up for 2 seconds when you turn on your key? Can you read the mileage?

check your instrumentation wires first, see if 1 is loose, not making good contact, etc. Bad grounds can cause this.
After that, look at your speed sensor....
If not your speed sensor, then its your Ga....and those puppies are not cheap! I usually get a used unit, send it off to have the mileage calibrated to read the correct Mileage as the old speedo, and install.
