Vance and Hines slash cut baffle removal vaquero

Has anyone successfully removed the baffles on a set of slash cuts for a vaquero? I've tried the search function and it doesn't seem to be working from my device.

Greetings,

I got one out (right side), but not the other. Didn't want to mess it up, so stopped while I was ahead. :)

It was loud even with just one out!

Loud is what I'm looking for. How did you get the right side out?

With just one out aren't you causing uneven back pressure?

I want both out. I'm looking to go either ultimate baffles or just old fashioned lolly pops. I figure if I know how to take the right out, the left will follow suit.

I can tell you, they are a bitch to remove. I have an extra muffler because one was defective cosmetically when purchased. V&H sent me a new one told me to keep the old one. I figured awesome, in case I ever scratch or damage the right side I have a replacement shell. Dude, I nearly burst a blood vessel trying to pull that baffle out. I wanted to see what it looked like. It barely budged a millimeter.

Yes, probably. I only ran it for a few minutes in the garage. Then put the baffle back in...

A puller and channel locks and rags. What Ken said, they are stubborn.
If you KNEW you would be "ok" with the sound AND you didn't care about the baffle, you could be more aggressive. Since I was only curious, I was pretty gentle.

Probably stating the obvious: there are two small allen head screws at the bottom outlet end of each pipe. Get those out. Then the baffle is the center piece of the tail pipe... Grab, pull, twist, jimmy, work, see-saw...
