nomad waterpump seal replacement

Just came in from the enclosed trailer that I store my 2013 Nomad 1700 for the winter. There is a large pool of antifreeze under the water pump housing. Had a smaller one the year earlier but once it heated up in the spring it sealed itself. This time it is a fairly large.. I am down about half in resovoir . Is this an expensive job to replace. Reason I ask is I am dealing on a 2015 Vaquero with trade and don't want to get a large bill on the Nomad if I trade. thanks

Isnt the 2013 still under warranty ? Why would you get a large bill after you trade in the Nomad ?

They can't charge you after its traded.... it's their responsibility to check it beforehand if they choose to do so...

warranty is over Jan.16/16. You only get two years warranty on a nomad.

as far as checking it out. It would pretty hard to miss when you are evaluating it for trade.

You still have 12 days left on your warranty ? If so get it over to them right away even if you have to push it. Save the money..

Definitely get it repaired under warranty. Call your dealer and tell them about it, it's winter and they may be looking for work, and you're trading it so the bike has to go there anyway. Even if you can't get the bike to them before the 16th make sure they have it on record and there shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks guys for all the advice. I will phone the dealer tomorrow and tell them what is going on with it and tell them that I want it fixed on warranty. I am worried that the shaft may be damaged and it will be a bigger problem than just the seal and maybe impeller.
