Yes. Mine will engage itself at a certain temp at idle if you set it to be on all the time. At least that is the way I understood it.

See you guys tomorrow, have a safe ride and enjoy Poopy's.
That is because it is a Victory. You are limited with what they allow you to do with those things!

We all made it to Onalaska between 5:00 and 6:00 last evening, had a great dinner and lots of laughs. Waiting for the others to get up and showered so we can get to riding, you can sleep when you're dead!!

Well my wife and I made it home after three days of riding. The weather today caused us to have to circumnavigate a storm or two.

I am afraid Ray is getting caught in some ball-busting storms on his way home. He had the longest to go. I hope not; but do not see where he couldn't have been in the way of a direct-hit with a front that moved through.

The three days of riding was great; especially riding on Sunday with Gibby and Ray. I do not know how many miles we did on Sunday (Mike might know); but it probably was around 325 miles. It might not sound like too many miles, but about 80% of them were constant twisties; requiring quite a bit of work. But it was a riot. One might say we officially carved part of a canyon at one point.

My bike ran great. No problems; and the wet-head is definitely cooler. Temps were at highs from 82 to 87 degrees; where my other motor would have been scorching me most of the time on the kind of roads we were on.

The hydraulic clutch works really good. Shifting is more precise and certainty; making it more enjoyable to ride. A lot of the clunkiness and loud shifts are mostly gone now.

Fuel mileage was great; although I did not calculate it.

The handling of the new '14 Ultra's is heads above the previous years' models (2009 -- 2013 touring frames). The bike is extremely graceful and well-mannered in all situations -- period.

Lastly, there are those who want to know how Gibby's Victory X-Country compares to my Ultra-Limited; performance-wise. I will be honest with my appraisal.

Despite the increased horse-power and torque with the 2014 103cc HD engine, the Victory can still pull out ahead of me when we hit speeds above 50. While the Victory is slower at over-taking me at first, by the time we move through 70 to 80, the Victory puts solid separation between us and keeps on going; where I begin to peak-out on power to keep up.

Off the line; the Ultra takes the Victory. So if you are on a short race, the Ultra will clearly win (my opinion). The low-end torque on the Ultra is hard to beat. However, as stated, if both bikes were to go full-out for a mile or so, the Victory will catch-up and surpass the Ultra.

So, that's it for my reporting on the trip. We had a great time, and will certainly do it again.
