Try the toilet gasket, it listed on Gadgets sight and is inexpensive.

I use the toilet gasket that Gadget suggests. Works like a charm.

When you get your new one, I would strongly suggest going to the auto parts store and getting a tube of weather strip adhesive. And glue them babies onto the bracket. Then you won't loose another. I lost one, and after gluing them in, they are still there, 4 years later.

That's a great tip! Thanks Vulcan.... I have the toilet parts too, and 57 if you decide to buy the toilet parts, you might save even more looking for something used, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it?

Yes that is a 1944 Harley Knucklehead. It is a 74" lower-end, with 61" upper (cylinders), with an over-sized cam and Oldsmobile valves. 24x24 drive gears, with a ratchet-top suicide shift transmission.

I bought that bike in 1971 and while it didn't look like this, I paid $750 for it. This picture was taken in 1977.

Do you think the jacket makes me look fat?

When my wife asks that question all I can reply is "Please don't ask". Great looking bike. I don't remember the torn jeans being in style in the 70's though....
