Don't pass a single gas stop...and you can get your "I survived Hwy 50" pin at the Chevron station in Austin! Provided of course you actually do survive it....!
At the Rally in Knab, Chris told his tale of his ride on Hwy 50 "America's Loneliest Road" and showed off his pin.
When I got home I checked up on the Hwy 50 and found out it was part of the Lincoln Hwy. I am interested in riding the Lincoln Hwy From NY to SF at some time in the near future.
It tuns out that the next year the rally was in Estes, so Grant and I rode the Loneliest Hwy on the way to the rally.

Nice Video Memory there cliffordgos, A word of info for those that havent rode across Nevada-Utah on the two lane black tops...every small town is a "potential speed trap"...pay attention to the speed limit signs as you approach each small town...(Eureka, Nev. ..can be.."interesting".. in that manner)

Cliff, With a ride from NY to SF you'll need some tunes on your bike. Hope this helps .....

That was a fun ride.
I have a friend that lives and works in Charleston SC but plans to retire in Oregon. So when that time does come then the plan is to ship my bike back to his place and then both of us will ride the Lincoln Hwy back to the west coast.

Eventually we'll do a coast to coast ride. Definitely a bucket list along with riding to Alaska.
