Chili, {good name for someone from Winnipeg}

We have the gov't insurance here on the coast. We have to purchase the basic coverage from them and if we want we can but the other from a private Co. Or get it all from the Gov't.. I get the basic and then go private on the rest. I think mine is $1200 total, with a $300. deduct.

What gov't do you have in Manitoba? It was NDP for years and years but they turned to a Liberal gov't didn't they? Ours is Liberal. Where in Manitoba are you? I lived in East Killdonan back in the 50's and 60's as a kid growing up.

Ricky, I have a Brother that lives in Surrey who rides so I knew you had some options, just never really investigated what they were. Just usually cursed him and changed the topic when MC insurance came up.

Manitoba has been NDP now since 1999( three terms), Prior to that the PC's had 3 terms and back and forth. The Liberals got close once with Sharon Carstairs but are pretty much a complete non factor once again.

I live in Winnipeg, in the Transcona area not far from East Kildonan.

I think my "old man" grew up in Transcona. The family left there in 66' I think it was.

Does your brother ride a Nomad? Tell him to check out the site.

Sadly my Brother doesn't appreciate the fine Nomad as I do, he's a sport bike type and rides an older GSX-R1100.

Alberta insurance through Jevco, same as most and very near same price as other members. Brokerlink is the main company but they sub it out to Jevco. Checked several other companies and it was very expensive, some close to double. Ride Safe. Dennis

That's about the same as BC.
I have a combo of the mandatory basic with the Prov. Gov't and the
PL and PD with a private insurance co.. It adds up to about $1300 to
$1500 a yr.. That's with a $300 deduct.. Far to high. And I have no tickets going against me. I have had a couple of no fault accidents so that doesn't play into it.

Check out Primmum, was way cheaper than Jevco for my '05 Nomad and considerably cheaper on my ST1300 until I moved it over to Axa with my auto insurance. Someone here sent me there a couple years ago.

You can get an online quote here:
