Lunch at Grandma's
Crystal and I rode up US 71 to Winslow for lunch at Grandma's House Cafe.
Usually by mid August half the trees are brown. We've had plenty of rain this year so all the trees are still green. The leaves are just starting to turn in the Boston Mountains. We're headed up to Eureka Springs next weekend. I've got to get a new back tire first. Hopefully the leaves will have more color then. Here's a pic from Artist Point looking east to Saddle Canyon.

I've not had a bad meal from Grandma's. We were going to ride yesterday but it just didn't happen. Got to ride a short time today, maybe next weekend.

So far so good. I road about 200 miles on it this weekend and it feels great.
I need about a 4 or 500 mile ride to really test it (anyway that's what I told my wife)

I remember Grandma's for lunch Dave. That was great. Y'all spending the night in Eureka? I kind of feel like taking off Thursday and Friday to go with the weekend.

We rode up to Brookhaven, MS on Thursday and spent the night there. Rode up to Jackson, MS on Friday and then headed back home. I have to be at work Monday. Sorry we couldn't have joined you guys in Eureka Springs. Another time.

Glad to hear you two were able to get out and do some riding. I think a good part of the country had some really nice riding weather. We had a good time in Eureka Springs. Except for the Mud Street Cafe not selling pancakes if they are to busy.  You know Crystal takes her food pretty seriously, she had been looking forward to having some sour cream and blueberry pancakes. It got a little heated.  We got out of there without being thrown out and no one got hurt. So I guess it worked out okay. We took the long way home, and turned a 3 hour ride into a 6 hour ride.
