I live near the border and have a US shipping address to avoid that. Otherwise you can get raped by UPS and others that can charge huge "brokerage" fees for the smallest packages.
Not so good now with our CAN dollar lower so we buy at home when we can. This year I have been offered prices at par or deeper discounts from motels and suppliers in the northern states to keep our business so it's not all bad.

Have someone you know close to the border in that US order you one and drive down and put it on. Do they search your bike crossing the border?

Steve, how far to the border for you?
Like hammer says, lots of companies specialize in US mailing addresses just over the border. I have one, It is free to register. $5 for each delivery they accept on your behalf they send you an email when your package arrives.

It's an interesting market right now. For the 1st time in a long time I got bike tires from a local shop. They were cheaper than anything online even figuring in US exchange.

Maybe the home market has finally realised that it has to compete with the rest of the world.A good thing i would have thought.

I just installed the disc on my nomad. ADVISE: Before you put it on the wheel polish the rotor with 150 or 200 grit emery clothe to get the cross hatch marks out of the pad surface areas.
I always use sand paper to prep new pads to clean the edges. I had to do the disc on the bike and it was harder. The hatch marks or grind marks made the brake pulsate. It's better now. Once the pads get seated to the disc it will be fine. I used Metallic pads which is what I have always used.

The first disc was not cut correctly. Got my replacement yesterday. It is perfect. .281 thousands all around. You that have ordered these discs check them before you install.

I've used CBI as well, they are good, never a problem with them. Problem is it's 1 1/2 hours, 180km each way plus tolls, plus it'll cost me more in gas than the thing is worth. But it just sucks that a company refuses to ship to Canada!!! What's the big deal? So you have to take 2 minutes and put a damn sticker on the package. If business is that good that they can shut out us Canadians buyers I say stuff it!
