Link does not work. Try going to FB =VBA page. It is an open page, no need to join. Look me up there. Or "Custom Vaquero Nation" that is a must join page though.

whew......FB rabbit hole?
Very Interested in the Speaker Pods from JTD cycle parts I just saw them a few months ago, online. Haven't found any real Reviews. They look deep enough. I have 6 1/2" Polk MM1's, http://engineeredadapters.com/produc...airing-adapter Kenwood Amp w/Wired remote Need more, and more bass Ivan Flash, BAK, drilled stock mufflers, Left Air cleaner removed..... ...that's all to say its a bit noisy. They speaker adapters for the rear bags.....but those seem to only work best parking lot listening. JTD Pods are better positioned and look to blend in nice. Pretty sure I'll pull the trigger soon, will post then |

Update
So fellas I installed my bars. Yes right side brake line is tight. To help with that I unbolted the junction at the bottom of the steering above the front fender. Need to make a little bracket to hold it. I could zip tie it but going to make it solid. I also took the brake lines out of the front holders my Voyager thats down by the calipers that all done seems to be good. One issue there doesn't seem to be enough slack to move the cables and such to one side of the bars like stock so at full turn they hit the dash. The bars don't just the cables. I think once I put a "stopper" on it she will be perfect. Now the huge problem for me is that I have a Clockwerks 12" shield well that hits. So I either try a 9 inch or a 6 living in Vermont really isn't what I want or cut my shield. So that is my next project to cut a part of my shield. I don't think it will be alot but it does make me nervous as it is expensive and I don't want it to look like crap. Also you will either have to drill a hole or grind off the nipples that each side has in the controls. The bars don't come drilled for that. I just ground them off, seems tight.

Hi guys, I installed a set of 12" JSR bars. Had to use the old school method of tapping the screw driver with a hammer when I was removing the clam shell covers on both sides. The screws are soft and they hold the plate on that squishes the clam shell together. Wires and lines were long enough. I was told that the 14" and taller require new longer lines and an electrical extension kit. Being 6'5" I like the 12" bars and the JSR bars were only $199. I like the feel, but I think I may want to go to the 16" set. So I'm saving money for the longer lines and electrical extension kit.
Took all of about an hour to replace the bars. I did find out that the left side of the stock bars the end cap is a left handed thread. You have to pull that first and then remove the stock grip. Just protect the tank. I have a Kawasaki 12" windshield installed also. Had to pull back the handlebars to clean from stop to stop. All in all I like the new bars. |
